Milani Rose Blushes – Review + Swatches

When it comes to drugstore blushes – Milani kills it. Their famous “Luminoso” blush is a beauty blogger favorite. Although the peachy tones in that one didn’t work for my coloring, I thought the quality was top-notch. When I spotted these beautiful Milani Rose Blushes at Target, I was eager to try them out.

The rose-patterned compacts come in 4 flushed shades – Romantic Rose, Coral Cove, Tea Rose, and Blossomtime Rose.┬áSince coral blushes are hit or miss for me, I decided to give Romantic Rose and Tea Rose a try.

As you can see, they apply sheer which makes them pretty goof-proof for everyday wear. Even if you’re super fair-skinned, you’re unlikely to have a blush mishap and apply too much. If you have darker skin, you may need to layer these to build up pigment.

For just $6.29 a pop, these are definitely a bargain. The formula reminds me of the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes ($29). They have no glow or shine to them, making them ideal for oily skin types. Plus, they last pretty well through a typical 8-hour workday.

Shade-wise, I find myself reaching for Romantic Rose a bit more often since it’s more neutral and goes with more looks. Tea Rose is definitely a bit brighter and girlier, a great pairing for pink or blue-red lipsticks.

Obviously, the rose pattern makes them feel perfect for the upcoming spring season and I like the look of them on my vanity. The compact doesn’t have a mirror in it which I’m okay with since I’m unlikely to re-apply blush throughout the day or on-the-go.

I picked these up at Target but Amazon sells them too.

What are your favorite drugstore blushes? I love finding beauty bargains at the drugstore but I don’t have many drugstore blushes! Comment below with your faves. <3

Until next time, stay rosy peeps!
